Food Network’s Good Eats, a Food Tech’s Must Watch
Good Eats is a television show hosted by Alton Brown airing on Food Network. The show investigates the science and methods behind the cooking, the history of different foods, and the use and advantages of equipments for cooking.
Every time I have the chance to watch Good Eats, I can’t keep myself away from the TV. The show made me go back to my classroom lessons when I was taking up my degree on Food Technology. The approach is very scientific. At times, there are some discussions that he would show the carbon chains of a certain food, or somehow showing the formula (I don’t know now how to say those terms).
But the good thing is Alton Brown always takes the discussion in an interesting and funny way.
This is really a must watch for food technologists.
