Here’s a recipe of red velvet cupcake shared to us by one of our contributors.


  • caster sugar
  • cake flour
  • all purpose flour
  • cocoa powder
  • baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • vegetable oil
  • vanilla (clear)
  • evaporated milk
  • water
  • egg
  • Red food color
  • Vinegar (optional) it will bring out some kick taste and flavor when mixed in your cocoa

Cream Cheese Frosting Ingredients: 

  • Cream Cheese
  • butter
  • vanilla (clear)
  • lemon extract (optional)
  • powdered sugar


  1. Sift together all dry ingredients.
  2. Mix all wet ingredients.
  3. Combine two mixtures little by little.
  4. Place in line muffin cups and bake for 20 – 30 minutes under 350°F or until a tester comes out clean.

Directions Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • Cream softened butter and softened cream cheese until smooth (speed 1-2 in mixer).
  • Add powdered sugar, vanilla and lemon extract (according to your sweetness like).
  • Beat until smooth. *Do not over mix* *If too sweet, add more cream cheese*
