Chicken Asado

Once I tried to cook beef asado taking into consideration what I remember the usual asado taste. From what I remember, an asado is somewhat sweet to salty-spicy.

I gathered every ingredients I have in the kitchen. The resulted recipe might not be traditional, but I think everyone who tasted it likes the sweet to spicy taste.

Now, I tried using chicken instead of beef, but without the chili.

½ kg chicken, choice cuts
½ cup toyomansi  sauce
½ cup water
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1 small piece onion, chopped
1 thumb size ginger, crushed
1 tsp. anise powder
1 small piece of cinnamon stick
1 tbsp. peppercorn
½ cup brown sugar
salt to taste

Brown the chicken in small amount of oil.
Add the rest of ingredients and let to simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until the sauce is reduced and thickened.
Serve with rice or potatoes.
